Meet the Black Mountain Plumbing Team. We are plumbers located in San Diego, California, and provide quick, courteous customer service from reception to project estimate, to process and completion. We have great plumbers with many years of experience who are highly qualified and continually trained on new trends and systems. Our full-service company assists residential and commercial customers with sewer and drain clogs, garbage disposals, water heaters, water filtration, slab leaks, leaky faucets, tub valves, gas pipes, appliance installation, pipe leak and line location, and outside hose faucets.

W. Scott Ferrell

CEO

Scott completed his four-year plumber’s apprenticeship August 1, 1989 through the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union, Local #230 and became a Licensed Plumbing Contractor October 21, 1993. Scott is the CEO of Black Mountain Plumbing, Inc. and has served on the Executive Board of the San Diego Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Contractors Association. He is an expert witness for litigation involving plumbing issues (CV located under Litigation Support on this Website). Scott has a background in Construction Management which affords him the knowledge and experience required to efficiently and correctly recreate or correct existing plumbing systems to meet the specifications of our customers.

Anita Ferrell

CFO

Anita is our CFO. Anita and Scott started Black Mountain Plumbing Inc. as a family-owned company. Anita really makes sure all the staff members and their families are taken care of and is a great balance for Scott as a Co-Owner of the company.

Robert Snyder

Operations Manager

Robert has been with the Black Mountain Plumbing team since 2002. He currently manages the day-to-day operations of Black Mountain Plumbing Inc. He works side-by-side with Scott and is more familiar with the ins and outs of this company than anyone. He is certified in many different areas of plumbing systems. He is a certified Green Plumber and a Water Filtration Specialist. Scott met Robert while he was digging a hole in his father’s front yard at the age of 16. He has worked with us ever since.

Kathy Johnson

Office Manager

Kathy is the friendly voice you may hear when you call us. She has been a key part of our Black Mountain Plumbing team since 2003. Her duties include Accounts Receivable/Payable and Customer Service Coordinator, as well as supervising the office staff. We can depend on her to handle most anything and she does it with a smile. Scott and Anita met Kathy at a small group that met at the Ferrell home.

Joel Robriguez Jr.

Plumber

Joel Jr. is awesome! Scott has known Jr since he was a little kid. After high school, he expressed a desire to be a plumber like his father. Joel completed his apprenticeship with the Plumbing Heating & Cooling Contractors Academy of San Diego in 2024. He does great work, completely honest and everything he does is always to the best of his ability. He is making his father, Joel Sr., very proud.

Solomon Nwosu

Plumber

If it’s difficult, if it’s technical, Solomon’s eyes light up. His technical aptitude and attention to detail is amazing! Solomon has many certifications in the plumbing industry. Solomon met Scott at church and has been with Black Mountain Plumbing Inc since 2010.

Daniel Kent

Plumber

Daniel really takes pride in his job and keeps a very clean work area. You can count on Daniel to be consistent in everything that he does. He has many customers who are very fond of him and his work. Scott knew Daniel for years before he came to Black Mountain Plumbing. He has been with us since 2013.

Briana Nwosu

Administrative Assistant

Briana works in the office assisting with the day to day operations of scheduling, dispatching calls and tracking our analytics. She is the happy voice on the line when you call. Scott met Briana through her husband Solomon. She enjoys reading and is embracing the joys of being a new mom and spending time with her growing family.

Leo Scheideman

Plumbing Apprentice

Leo came from the restaurant industry and decided on a career in the plumbing trade. Scott has known his parents for over 20 years. He is currently enrolled in the Plumbing Heating & Cooling Contractors Academy of San Diego working towards his journeyman card. Leo is a kind young man who is honest and full of integrity. On his off time he enjoys traveling, hiking and most outdoor activities.

Nathaniel Bunner

Plumbing Apprentice

Nathaniel had decided at a young age he wanted to become a plumber. By the time he finished high school, he already completed the ROP Plumbing 1 course. He then enrolled at the Plumbing Heating & Cooling Contractors Academy of San Diego, working towards his journeyman card. Nathaniel is very motivated, eager to learn and very sharp. He will make an excellent plumber. When he is not at work, he enjoys robotics and working on his classic corvette.

Brandon Kichas

Plumbing Apprentice

Brandon is our newest employee (2025). Scott, the owner, has known him for over 15 years. He has been in the plumbing industry for the past four years. He is currently enrolled in his fourth and final year at the Plumbing Heating & Cooling Contractors Academy of San Diego working towards his journeyman card. Brandon is very personable, communicative and conscientious. We are proud to have him on our team!
